Chew Benefit Show

On August 19th, friends and fans of Chris Chew came together for a benefit show at the Hi-Tone Cafe. 100% of the money raised was donated to Chew to aid with his accumulating bills after being hospitalized earlier this summer in a diabetic coma. On behalf of Chew and the whole NMA family, we’d like to thank all the artists that came out and performed that night, including Rocket 88, Eric Deaton, The Merry Mobile, Guelel Kumba, Steve Selvidge, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Blue Mountain, Kirk Smithhart and Luther & Cody.

We’d also like to thank everyone who helped make the night possible and all the people that donated items to the silent auction, including Jonathan Kiersky and the entire Hi-Tone Staff, Dan Garber, Joel Gradinger, Pat McIntyre, Charles Frost, Lauren Holterman, Justin Short at Guitar Center, Graham Burks Jr, Duncan Elliott, Dick Watermann, Robert Gordon, the Hill Country Picnic, the Dickinson Family, Lucero, Bob Bane Photography, David Less and Memphis International, the Campbell family, WEVL, Jimmy Crossweight, Newby’s Bar & Grill, Brickworks Artworks, Sox Richardson and Todd Paden.

And of course we’d like to extend a special thanks to all the fans that came out for the show and everyone that has donated directly to Chew online. If you still want to help, you can donate directly to Chew through his paypal account.
