North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic Celebrates 10 Years!

NMA is proud to announce they will participate in the 10th Anniversary North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic. This year’s celebratory event will be held on Friday and Saturday June 26 & 27 in Waterford Mississippi. This years picnic will also be streamed via WWOZ.org. So if you are not able to make it to Mississippi in June, make plans to tune in from where ever you call home, and celebrate with us via the internet.

The 2015 lineup includes such picnic favorites as Kenny Brown, Duwayne Burnside, Garry Burnside, The Rising Star Drum and Fife Band, Jimbo Mathus, Alvin Youngblood Hart and many more. A very special performance will also be made by the South Memphis String Band on the Campground Stage.

Additionally, Luther will join Kenny Brown, Alvin Youngblood Hart and Duwayne Burnside as instructors on for the NMSHCP Guitar Workshop on Thursday June 25. Come and study some Hill Country Blues with the masters!

Delta Blues Museum adds NMA Exhibit as part of 35th Anniversary Celebration

CLARKSDALE, MS (January 31, 2014) – The Delta Blues Museum marks its 35th year on January 31st, with celebrations continuing throughout the year. New exhibits featuring artists Jessie Mae Hemphill, Sugar Blue, North Mississippi Allstars and R.L. Burnside have recently been added.
