North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic

It’s that time of year again! Mark your calendars for fun on Friday and Saturday June 29 & 30 at the North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic.

Although North Mississippi Allstars are not able to play this year’s event, the band still supports this great assembly and non-profit organization; it’s these types of events that nurture the future of the Hill Country Blues. The band encourages all NMA fans to participate in the unique southern experience that the annual occasion provides.

The North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic has a new location at Betty Davis BBQ in Waterford, Mississippi (on the corner of HWY 7 South and 310). Kenny Brown is delighted to bring the event to a location that once hosted a juke joint where RL Burnside himself would play.

2012 marks the 7th year of the event and boasts the talent of many regional bands. In addition to the concert, attendees can also sign up for a Friday guitar workshop and sit down with guitar gurus Kenny Brown, Garry and Duwayne Burnside and Eric Deaton for some down home and personal instruction.
